It should be noted this issue got fixed before any news coverage (but a similar thing has happened with Firefox before ). As a more recent example of this behaviour, I experienced this when trying Microsoft Edge's preview build on MacOS which is built on Chromium (Chrome's open-source engine). The first one is the anti-trust case against Google. My problems with Google's policies are in different areas: I was referring to the way Google collects a lot of the data. I admit anti-consumer might have been a bit much and I've edited that part out.

If you already have an iPhone (or anything else from the Apple ecosystem) logging into sites will be seamless across different devices and you don't need to pay for a password manager. It's worth noting that I have to replace my battery soon and the work I did for different sessions was not the same so these results may be biased but aside from the lack of extensions, I've found Safari to be a pretty good alternative for Chrome.ДЄnother dealbreaker for me was Safari's support of Keychain. The dealbreaker for me is the performance While my battery would be drained after 3 hours of browsing/work with Chrome and Firefox, using Safari for the same timespan consumes less than 50% of the battery. To be honest, I'm still seeing ads and ad blockers aren't as strong on Safari compared to Chrome and Firefox.

It is more restricted compared to the other two but I feel like this is from Apple's strategy to make sure the users are safe. However, in the end I've settled with Safari. Firefox is pretty good privacy wise and has a better support of extensions compared to Safari.
